Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month in Shinfield Infant School at 7.30pm apart from June, July and August. There are monthly meetings in February, March, April, May, September, October, November and December. The entrance fee is £1 and the first payment of the year gives you membership of SAHGA. There is a raffle at each meeting with tickets £1 each. The AGM is held at the January meeting followed by a Cheese and Wine Buffet. In June a visit is organised to a Garden of interest. This is not on a Thursday evening but during the day sometime in the second week in June. In July the SAHGA BBQ is held at the Millworth Lane Allotments. Weather permitting. Salads, bread, cake and soft drinks are provided. BYO meat and alcoholic drinks. The December meeting is ‘Festive Flower Arranging’ when we have a demonstration of festive flower arranging. The arrangements are then raffled. Members bring festive nibbles and SAHGA provides wine and soft drinks.
